Daily program
Day 1
Meeting in Solda in the morning (time to be agreed), material control and cable car ride to the rifugio City of Milan (2581 m.). Accommodation and explanation of the program and of the theoretical foundations for mountaineering and ice in the high mountains (glaciology, topography and meteorology).
Day 2
theoretical and practical exit to the glacier Solda. Binding methods and teaching on the glacier. Use of ice ax and crampons, practical tests of technical climb, descent and insurance. Return to the rifugio city of Milan.
Day 3
Trek with climb to the Solda Peak (3376 m.) and descent to the refuge. Training tests with security and self-rescue maneuvers.
Day 4
Climb to Punta del Lago Gelato (3230 m.) Descent to the Passo del Lago Gelato (3130 m.) and transfer to the rifugio. G. Casati (3254 m.).
Day 5
Climb to Monte Cevedale (3769 m.) Descent to the rifugio Casati and return to Solda cable car passing by the rifugio Citta di Milano. Closing of the course.
